Julieann Skvarla is a native of California. She attended San Francisco State University, earning her BA is History and her teaching credential. Following graduation, she traveled extensively in Europe, returning to San Francisco to begin her teaching career. Life took her to Dallas, Texas , St. Paul, Minnesota and eventually to Kirkland, Washington where she taught at Redmond High School. While in Washington, Mrs. Skvarla earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum from Seattle University and became a National Board Certified Teacher in History/Social Science. In 2006, Mrs.
Julie Tarman is a native of Sacramento and attended El Camino High School. She graduated from UCLA as a Spanish major with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language before moving to Japan to teach English. Upon her return, she got her credentials in English and Spanish from CSU Sacramento. She has taught at West Campus for 2 years and loves her students very much. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, doing DIY home projects, reading, and watching scary movies.
