Principal’s Message:

Hello West Campus Families,

The application process for students who want to join our incoming ninth grade class will open on November 1, 2021.  If you know of families who are interested in applying, please let them know about our application process.  Given the nature of our current COVID conditions, all of our recruiting will be held virtually, current students and parents will be our best recruiters in the community.  Please share your experience and encourage families to apply.

Last week, we sent out a survey to work back toward building a “normal” school connection and culture.  There was an issue with the link in the first attempt to send out the survey so there were not a lot of responses, however, based on the survey, as it relates to hot beverages, West Campus student prefer:

  • 42.9% Hot Chocolate
  • 28.6% Coffee with additions (White Chocolate Mocha, Pumpkin Spiced Latte, etc…)
  • 21.4% Tea (Chai Tea Latte, Ginseng Tea, etc…)
  • 7.1% Coffee (black coffee with nothing added)

Thank you to everyone who participated.  This week, we have another survey, please access this week’s survey here. Thank you to Mrs. Anderson and Mr. Navarrete for hosting college apps workshops during lunch. Please click the link to the right for more details.

Thank you,

John McMeekin

Principal, WCHS

Fridge Update:

Thank you so much for coming together as a community to give our teachers and staff a mini-fridge for the lactation room and a refrigerator for the staff lounge. During this difficult transition back to in-person learning, it is small acts of kindness that serve as a reminder that we are much more than a school community- but a family.

With Gratitude,

Dr. V
