Principal’s Message
Sunday, April 30, 2023
Hello West Campus Families,
Thank you to everyone who supported our efforts during the WASC visit in February. We learned this past week that we received the six-year accreditation status with a mid-cycle visit. This is the best possible outcome from the visit! Huge thank you to the entire staff and specifically the WASC leadership team of: Kelly Moore (English teacher and ASB director), Chi Trinh (Mathematics teacher), Tim Hebert (Mathematics teacher), and Euniceann Roland (Vice Principal). Without their effort, the support of the Foundation, staff and parents who attended our meetings, we would not have achieved this result.
This week, AP testing begins. Exams are scheduled for either 8:00 am or 12:00 noon. The tests are scheduled nationally by time-zone. If your student might have difficulty arriving at school in time for their exam – we are asking students to be at their testing location by 7:45 am for 8:00 am exams – please connect with a counselor or administrator.
Student who are testing should ensure they are well rested the night before their exams, this includes 12:00 noon exams. Additionally, monitor healthy nutrition that morning as well as in the days leading up to exams. Remember to take AP tests as a challenge rather than a threat!
Thank you,
John McMeekin – Principal

Equity Team Challenge – Week 3: Anti-Racism
Anti-Racist Definition: One who is supporting an antiracist policy through their actions or expressing an antiracist idea.
Being anti-racist does not require that you always know the right thing to say or do in any given situation but that you take action and work against racism wherever you find it including, and perhaps most especially, in yourself.
