Course Description
The following guide details the wide range of course selections available. All courses required for graduation and college admission are offered and are approved in advance by the SCUSD Board of Trustees. Course selections are determined by a number of factors including: graduation and college admissions requirements; school and district achievement data; student interest; teacher availability/expertise; and fiscal resources. In some instances, due to these factors, courses listed in this guide may not be available. Please seek assistance from your counselor if this occurs.
Library Services
West Campus Library Services empower students and staff to become enthusiastic readers, critical thinkers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information. To accomplish this, we do the following:
Graduation Requirements
Our priority as a school community is to ensure our students are academically, socially, and emotionally prepared for college. West Campus courses align with what are commonly known as the āA-Gā requirements. A-G courses are those that the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) require entering freshmen to have completed in high school.
Guidance/Counseling
At West Campus, each student is paired with a counselor who will follow the student from admission through senior year. Our college counseling program includes milestones for each student that promote planning and preparation for college admissions.
