Principal’s Updates
Sunday, January 14, 2024
Hello West Campus Families,
This week is the final week of instruction/review before finals for the first semester. Please see the finals schedule here.
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. and his contributions to the Civil Rights movement, Monday, January 15, 2024 is a school holiday. First celebrated in 1986, January 15th was Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday. Dr. King was a Civil Rights leader and minister who was assassinated in 1968. Dr. King was an advocate for non-violent resistance and civil disobedience to Jim Crow laws and other racist and discriminatory laws. For more information on Dr. King, please click here.
We continue to ask all families to enroll their student into the ASSET’s after school program. This program is funding our library, tutoring, some transportation, and afternoon meal service. Many students are on campus after school and can contribute to us continuing to receive this funding if they are enrolled. We have streamlined the enrollment process to this google form. Please complete this form, it will only take a few moments to finish. This form asks for student name and grade level only.
Want to attend a sports event or buy a season pass? Go to our GoFan page for the schedule and tickets: https://gofan.co/app/school/CA22551. Buying the season pass for all sports games helps the school fund athletics needs such as new sports equipment.
Thank you,
John McMeekin – Principal
