Principal’s Message

Hello West Campus Families,

Welcome back Warrior Families!!!  I hope everyone had a restful, relaxing winter break!  We have three weeks of instruction followed by one week of final exams to close out the first semester.  We are working to finalize the schedule for final exams during the week of January 25th.  Once this is finalized, we will send it out to all families.

A huge thank you to ASB and our Warrior community for donating 3,000 canned food products to families in need. We commend our sophomores for their victory in collecting the most canned food products, and we commend the mighty class of 2021 for their victory during our first virtual rally.

We are making preparations to administer the PSAT to juniors on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 – this could be postponed or canceled depending on county regulations.  While we are preparing, we will be asking for parents of freshmen, sophomores, or seniors to volunteer to proctor.  We estimate that we will need approximately 15 to 20 proctors to support our test administration.  Parents of 11th grade students are prohibited to proctor exams via the ethical standards provided by College Board.

If you have any attendance concerns, please email Ms. Lynette Meighan at lynette-meighan@scusd.edu to update absences.

Finally, we have combined the West Campus Parent Engagement Team with the Student Engagement Team to form the Family Engagement Team.  This team will meet on the fourth Thursday of each month with our first combined meeting scheduled for Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 3:15 pm – zoom information will follow.  This team is one of the parent, student, staff, admin collaborative teams that started in August to assist us with our distance education program. All are welcome to attend.  Our SEL team meets today (Wednesday, January 6, 2021 and our West Campus Culture Team will meet next Thursday, January 14, 2021).

Students – I encourage you to stay engaged in your classes and submit all assignments.  We are close to the end of the first semester.
