Principal’s Message
Hello West Campus,
Please note that the deadline for completing the Return to In-Person Learning survey is today. Please take a moment to complete this survey – the information will be critical to our planning efforts for a return to in-person learning. You can access the survey here.
If you are curious about what school will look like upon a return, please use this video for a reference point to see the plan for classrooms, you can access the video here.
Finally, if you are part of a student club, sport, or organization that has been a part of something exciting, please share with either Dr. Versher or I so we can share exciting news to the community on a future issue of this newsletter.
Thank you,
John McMeekin
Principal, West Campus High School
Self-Care Corner
We recognize that students, staff, and families have seen the national coverage of the increasing violence against Asian Americans across the country. Our administration is working with staff to plan a forum to address the increase of hate crimes and hate speech directed at the AAPI community, and what we can do as a collective to support students and families who are impacted. For self-care this week, we encourage our families to have conversations about these incidents and to refer students to counseling services for support.
In this week's news:
Congratulations, MESA Day Winners!
West Campus students win big
This year there were only four competitions at MESA Day, and West Campus students placed in each! Please congratulate these students, all of whom will all move on to the Northern California regional competition held in April!
