Equity Team Challenge
Week 6 - Race and Equity
Weeks 1 through 5 challenges were focused on personal reflection.
For the next challenges, we will shift focus to a broader view of
racial equity and social justice by contextualizing the
institutional and systemic factors of racism and other
marginalization of peoples. The reflection questions still focus
on you, the individual, and how you operate within the broader
context.
Racial equity is an outcome and a process. We are striving toward
the outcome of everyone having what they need to thrive,
regardless of their race or where they live. The process of
equity requires breaking down beliefs, systems, policies, and
practices that support systemic racism and racial inequity.
