General Meeting: Our first meeting will be Monday, September 11th, and we will need your help in approving the budget for this coming year. You can review our priorities and give us feedback. If you have questions on how donations are spent, this is a great opportunity to learn more. We are all volunteers who want our students and staff to be supported, so we can all succeed.

Mean Girls Musical Audition September 11, after school, Room 13: The NorCal School of the Arts is running the Mean Girls production and auditions with funds West Campus is receiving through the ASSETS grant. Our Drama Club is supporting. For the audition, students need to prepare a song that is no more than two minutes and not a song from Mean Girls. They will also need to prepare a monologue. For more information, visit the Drama Club’s Instagram page (@dramaclub.wchs or here: https://reg137.imperisoft.com/ncsota/ProgramDetail/3533383837/Registration.aspx

Back to School Night is Thursday, September 14, 6-8pm! Join us for an exciting Back to School Night, where the Foundation is thrilled to support our school community in more ways than one! We understand that a successful school year starts with strong partnerships between families and educators, and that’s why we’ll be there to provide services and answer any questions.

One of the highlights of the evening is our FREE Volunteer Fingerprinting service. The SCUSD volunteer process is complex; that’s why we’re offering the free service on campus for your convenience. Please sign up here. Volunteering Frequently Asked Questions are here.

We’re also collaborating with ASB to provide food and drinks available for purchase. Please note that supplies are limited, and some food is available for cash only, while others are available via credit card payment.

The Class of 2024 will sell cookies and drinks and encourages everyone to stop by to learn about senior class activities, parent participation, and buy class t-shirts. Purchases of cookies, drinks, and t-Shirts will be Cash Only.

The Class of 2025 will sell pizza, and the Class of 2026 will have their class t-shirts for sale.

Know of an adult or student volunteer able to translate into Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hmong, or Vietnamese, and wanting to volunteer that night? Please reach out to Rosette Nguyen at vp@wc-fe.org or (916) 548-5697.

We can’t wait to see you there! Together, we can make this academic year a tremendous success for our students.

Need Volunteers for Movie Night (Sept 15, 6-9pm): The Class of 2024 is hosting a movie night for all classes to start the school year off strong! We need a few chaperones to help with check-in and hand out snacks. We ask chaperones to show up at 5:30 to become familiar with their station. Chaperones must be cleared with the district including fingerprinting. Please reach out to juliafkehoe@gmail.com for more information.

Fundraising: We get questions often on how donations are spent, what our fundraising goals are, etc. Check out our Fundraising Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) here on our Donate page. The FAQs provide our fundraising goals, examples of how the money is spent, and ways in which families can participate – through individual donations (smaller monthly contributions as an option too), corporate matching donations, United Way/Our Promise donations, and sponsorship packages.

In the spirit of transparency, we recommend you take a look at our 2023-24 budget here; the budget provides a view of our needs, expenses, and expected income by line item.
