Foundation Updates
Sunday, September 17, 2023
The Foundation was thrilled to support the West Campus community at Back to School Night with food and drink sales and sponsoring fingerprinting services for the volunteer clearance process. It was great to see such a big turn out! We hope you enjoyed the evening.
Your support of the foundation helps us bring these additional services to support school events. We charge no membership fees but need your donations and time to keep this going. We ask that you join our mailing list so we can keep you informed. Please finish the rest of the volunteer clearance process as soon as you can and consider a donation to help support our school. Please visit our website for more information: https://wc-fe.org/
Thank you to families who attended the September 11th general meeting. We apologize for the technical difficulties at the start of the meeting, and look forward to having you back – in person or virtually – at our next general meeting on October 9th.
Back to School Fundraiser: We are doubling the staff reimbursement amounts this year, to $200 per staff member, a total of $6,000. This Back to School Fundraiser’s goal is just $3,000 to cover the doubling of this amount. Past requests have covered items like school supplies, a printer, external hard drive, sheet music, foam sheets for Calculus project, counseling tools for students experiencing anxiety. Fundraising: We get questions often on how donations are spent, what our fundraising goals are, etc. Check out our Fundraising Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) here on our Donate page. The FAQs provide our fundraising goals, examples of how the money is spent, and ways in which families can participate – through individual donations (smaller monthly contributions as an option too), corporate matching donations, United Way/Our Promise donations, and sponsorship packages.
In the spirit of transparency, we recommend you take a look at our 2023-24 budget here; the budget provides a view of our needs, expenses, and expected income by line item.
