Foundation Updates
Sunday, October 8, 2023
Thank you to those parents and guardians who were able to make it to our Foundation mixer last Thursday evening!
Foundation General Meeting: October 9, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM, in-person and virtually. Attend to hear updates from administrators, ASB (Associated Student Body), and vote on some budget updates. Meeting is in room 56 on campus or virtually via video at https://meet.google.com/ncs-pjec-vap or dial (US) +1 484-531-2251 PIN: 950 451 878#.
The meeting agenda is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aI0Ez2HOqHjkp1xInIhXXgWXGSEixLaly5sQPAYHQMg/edit
We want your Feedback: So far, our parent involvement survey has yielded 23 responses. Thank you to those who responded! Given the student body is ~880 students, we are hoping for a lot more survey results, so the Foundation can serve our families better. Please complete the survey here. Questions about the survey? Please contact Diana Williams Corless at membership@wc-fe.org.
Want to Volunteer? The Foundation collects volunteer needs from admin, teachers, ASB, and students. Please visit our volunteer opportunities list, FAQs, and other volunteer information here.
Back to School Fundraiser: Thank you to all who donated to the Back to School Fundraiser. We met our goal of $3,000, which helps us double the amount we are reimbursing each teacher. Past examples of teacher reimbursement requests include sheet music, printer, printer ink, counseling tools for students experiencing anxiety.
October Fundraising: There are many ways to support West Campus and in October we’d like to highlight three ways to donate to the Foundation
- Match your Foundation donations! Want to donate and work for an employer that does donation matching? If you work for Intel, Apple or the hundreds of corporations through Benevity, you can have your employer match your donation through this platform; look up the Foundation or use our Benevity ID #840-731635806.
- United Way/Our Promise: If you work for the State of CA, SMUD, Target or 250+ local companies, you can donate through the United Way Our Promise platform. This is not employer matching, but regular payroll deductions. Every dollar donated makes a big impact!
- Become a Community Partner: If you own a small business and would like to be a community partner, check out our sponsorship levels on our website.
For all fundraising questions or ideas, please contact Rosette Nguyen at vp@wc-fe.org.
Upcoming Dates
We have a Google Calendar with upcoming events – click here to view. Currently, there are the Foundation, ASB and Counseling calendars with dates of important, upcoming events, so don’t miss out!
