Post

Unity Festival – Our annual Unity Festival/Open House/Art show is coming up on the evening of Thursday, May 23rd from 5-8pm. This is a celebration of our school and community.

In coordination with the school and students, the Foundation is excited to co-host an array of activities planned for the evening.

Open House 5:00-7:00 PM

  • Food (entrees, snow cones, cotton candy, drinks) for sale; salad, popcorn, and fruit are free 4:30-7:30 PM
  • Art show
  • Folklórico dance performance
  • Band performances
  • Games (win tickets to enter our giveaway; not purchase necessary)
  • Door prize giveaways
  • West Campus spirit wear for sale
  • Presentation and Q&A for incoming freshman families

We need parent/guardian volunteers. Students have signed up for most of the open spots. All volunteers will receive a ticket to enter into a drawing for door prizes. No purchase necessary for the door prize. Prizes may include gift cards, school gear, and a month membership at Rio del Oro.

To promote sustainability, we’ll be offering recyclable, canned drinks for sale at the event. We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottles as part of our ongoing efforts to reduce single-use plastic. We will provide entrees and snacks, including offerings for sale as well as complimentary items. As we anticipate a high turnout and are unable to predict the exact number of attendees, food will be available on a first come, first served basis. We encourage you to arrive early to enjoy the festivities and sample the delicious treats! We will also have a Foundation “booth” for those families who want to get to know what the Foundation does and participate more actively.

If you would like to volunteer, please sign up here
