Hello West Campus Families,

Congratulations to the Class of 2023 on their victory at the rally on Friday!  The spirit that each class brought was impressive!

This week is College Week, look for each teacher to present in classes during the week about their college journey.  Additionally, on Wednesday, the PSAT will be administered to all 10th and 11th grade students while the PSAT 8/9 will be administered to 9th grade students.  Seniors will have the opportunity to start their college applications online.  Students can begin UC and CSU applications as well as access to many other colleges and universities through the Common App. 

While the UC’s and CSU’s no longer use the SAT as a component of the application process, there are many colleges that continue to use it as a factor or influencer.  This past week I joined many English classrooms to share with students the value to them of taking the PSAT on Wednesday.  Please engage with your student about this topic.  

Also this week, middle school recruiting will begin at middle school sites around the district.  We will be taking students to sites to promote our school to prospective students.  Please promote our site to families you know.  The application window will open next month.
