Hello West Campus Families,
Please join us on Monday, September 18, 2023 for our first Equity Team Meeting of the school year. We will meet in room 56 from 3:45 pm to 5:00 pm. We are looking for students to join us and take leadership roles for this Team.
Middle School Recruiting is beginning for rising ninth graders interested in attending WCHS in the fall of 2024. We are looking for current students who will be interested in giving back by recruiting at their middle school. Additionally, we will be looking for students interested in making recruiting videos to post to our website. Please complete this Google Form if you are interested in supporting us in our recruiting efforts.
Friday, September 15, 2023 marked the start of Hispanic Heritage Month. Look for more details below and in upcoming Warrior News editions.
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend Back to School Night this past Thursday. It was a great opportunity to interact with other families and learn about your student’s typical school day. If you were unable to attend or would like to review the slides from the presentation in the gym, please click here.
During Back To School Night, we promoted a parent vacancy on the School Site Council. Additionally, we have three student vacancies. If you are interested in supporting the school in this capacity, please complete this nomination form. You can nominate yourself or someone else.
Finally, students will be able to attend Club Rush this Friday, September 22, 2023 during lunch on the quad. Among the many club opportunities, we will be starting the Best Buddies Club this year to support our Program students. Read below for more details about this opportunity for students.

This year at Club Rush, you will have the opportunity to join the Best Buddies Club. This club will work with our Program Students (shared previously in the Warrior News – we have an Special Day Class for autistic students this year). Students who join this club will have the opportunity to buddy with our Program Students.

Hispanic Heritage Month
September 15, 2023 to October 15, 2023
Hispanic Heritage Month lasts from September 15 to October 15 each year. This period is observed by celebrating and acknowledging the history and culture of our ancestors with origins from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. The timing of Hispanic Heritage Month coincides with the Independence Day celebrations of several Latin American nations.

The Foundation was thrilled to support the West Campus community at Back to School Night with food and drink sales and sponsoring fingerprinting services for the volunteer clearance process. It was great to see such a big turn out! We hope you enjoyed the evening.
