Rita McNamara is the new College and Career Support Counselor at West Campus. She joined the team at the end of November 2022. She has a B.A. in Psychology from UCLA and an M.A. in Counseling from Brandman University.

Originally from San Diego, she now lives in Folsom with her husband and two young sons. She has four children – 2 grown, a son in the Marines and a daughter at UC Davis, and two little boys in elementary school with special needs.

She has counseling experience at both an elementary and a high school level and is excited to work with students at West Campus to realize their dreams of a college education. Her goal at West Campus is to arm students and parents with the information and tools that they need to successfully apply to and be accepted at the nation’s most prestigious universities. When she is not working she is spending time with her family doing fun activities and watching true crime documentaries.
