Graduation Ceremony

Important Times:

• 8:45 a.m. – Seniors report to student entrance
• 9:00 a.m. – Gates Open for Guests
• 10:00 a.m. – Ceremony Begins

Graduation Ceremony Information

Cap and Gown
This product should be purchased through Jostens. Our Jostens representative is Ken Caldeira and can be reached at (916) 989-3909 or at ken.caldeira@jostens.com.

Tickets
All graduates will receive ten tickets, which will be issued to the student’s school email the week of June 3rd. Each guest must present a ticket at the gate before being permitted to enter. Please notify Ms. Nobida by May 24, 2024 if you have a family member who needs ADA seating.

Proper Attire for Graduates
Graduates should wear semi-formal attire.

• Gentlemen may wear: long pants (not jeans), shirts and ties or collared shirts, and dress shoes.
• Ladies may wear: Long pants (not jeans), dresses, skirts, blouses, and comfortable shoes.
• Graduation caps may be painted, decorated, or adorned in a school appropriate way: inappropriate caps will be confiscated.

Honor Sashes/Pins/Medallions
Some graduates will have honor sashes and pins based on special accomplishments. All sashes, pins, caps and medallions must be approved by one of the following people: Mr. McMeekin, Ms. Donovan, Ms. Anderson or Ms. Nobida. ALL SASHES/CAPS SHOULD BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE.

Parking/Rules of Park

• Parking will cost $10.00
• The gates open at 8 a.m., and the ceremony starts at 10:00 a.m. sharp
• Only clear bags will be allowed in the Park unless they are not larger than 5″ x 8″
• Guests are not allowed to bring in balloons, signs or noisemakers
• Guest seating will be in Section 106-121
• You will not be able to meet with your student once they are in the park so please take care of any issues before they enter the park at 9 a.m.
• All guests must have a ticket unless they are 2 years and younger.

Showing support of Graduates
Applause is certainly encouraged for every graduate; however, please make sure that the support does not interfere with the experience of other graduates or their family members. Please be sure to end applause before the name of the next graduate is called.

Ceremony Details
The ceremony will last approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours, and will include speeches from selected students and staff.

Diplomas
As graduates cross the stage, they will receive their diploma covers. Official diplomas will be available starting on June 24, 2024 in Ms. Nobida’s office.
